Proctor
Sophie Livak, 82, passed away on January 3, 2013 at Rutland Health and Rehabilitation in Rutland.
She was born November 25, 1930 in Proctor,VT the daughter of Mitro and Helen (Volosin) Livak. She was employed for forty years at the Vermont Marble Company and Omya Inc. in Proctor. Sophie was a great friend to many and a wonderful neighbor.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Baker of Kennard, TX; a cousin, Ann Boekler of Port St. Lucie, FL.; and special friends Sherry Atwood and Phil Goss. She was predeceased by her brother, John Livak, her sister, Helen Porretta, and brother Michael Livak.
There will be no calling hours. The committal service will take place in the spring in South Street Cemetery in Proctor with a date and time to be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford .
