Rudolph C. "Rudy" Charbonneau, 72, died Monday March 4, 2013 after a long illness at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Rudy was born on April 4, 1940 in Middlebury, VT the son of Reginald Martin and Hortense Charbonneau.
He served with the US Army. Rudy was a well known in the area as a talented self employed brick and stone mason for over 50yrs. He was a former modified stock car driver and was awarded VT. State Track Champion at one time. Rudy enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, maple sugaring season and working on anything that needed to be fixed. Above all he loved to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Sue of Pittsford; his former wife and a close family friend Marge Charbonneau of Brandon; three sons Scott of Brandon, Chuck of Pittsford, Reggie and his wife Christina of Pittsford; a daughter Ginger Severance of Fair Haven; a brother Donald Charbonneau and his wife Mary of Brandon; and a sister Regina Swenor of Castleton; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 7, 2013 at 1:30pm at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Pittsford, immediately followed by a reception for family and friends at the church parish hall. There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
